Applications open for Membership Officer and Policy Writers

We are delighted to announce that Constitutional Conservatives is looking for new individuals to join the Committee as either the Membership Officer or a Policy Writer.

The Membership Officer is responsible for growing the membership of the organisation, monitoring members' compliance with the code of conduct and the charter, and working constructively with other committee members to further the organisation. It is an Executive position, meaning that it carries full voting rights.

Policy Writers will be responsible for the production of policy for Constitutional Conservatives and the performance and output of The Crown & Mace.

Role Descriptions

Membership Officer

We are looking for a highly-motivated, responsible person to join the Committee of Constitutional Conservatives as an Executive Officer, with responsibility for membership.

Overall Responsibilities

·        Growing the membership of the organisation, including initiatives.

·        Monitoring membership compliance with the Code of Conduct and the Charter.

·        Working constructively with other committee members to further the organisation.

Specific Responsibilities

·        Maintain the membership database and membership application form, approving or rejecting new members within days.

·        Write a membership email bulletin every four weeks, detailing the activities of

Constitutional Conservatives.

·        Organise the annual Membership General Meeting.

·        Create separate membership and committee code of conducts, based on the Charter.

·        Contribute a section towards a policy paper three times per year.

·        Write an article for The Crown & Mace at least every ten weeks.

·        Act as a returning officer for any votes of the membership.

Policy Writer

We are looking for a highly motivated, well-read person to join the Committee of Constitutional Conservatives as an Associate Officer. The ability to write and edit pieces is essential.

Overall Responsibilities

·        The production of policy for Constitutional Conservatives.

·        The performance and output of The Crown & Mace, which is the blog of the organisation.

Specific Responsibilities

·        Edit articles for The Crown & Mace from contributors, ensuring they follow correct grammar and editorial standards.

·        Write a short (100 to 200 words) policy to be posted on the policies section of the website, at least every two weeks.

·        Contribute towards the production of policy papers, which will be published every four months.
